Top dentistry schools in the US, Canada and Latin America

Over 20 schools in the US, Canada and Latin America are featured in the dentistry rankings. Notable US universities include Harvard University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Pennsylvania and University of California Los Angeles.

Canadian dentistry schools appear in the rankings including the University of Toronto which scored well in the citations per paper indicator, as well as University of British Columbia, McGill University and University of Alberta.

Schools in Brazil that rank for dentistry include Universidade de São Paulo, Universidade Estadual de CampinasUNESP and Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.

Top dentistry schools in Europe

Europe is the most well-represented region in the top universities for dentistry. Among the continent's top universities for dentistry is The Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

Top British universities for dentistry include King’s College LondonQueen Mary University of LondonUniversity College London and University of Birmingham.

Outside of the UK, top European universities other than The Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam include: Karolinska InstitutetUniversity of BernUniversity of Zurich and University of Gothenburg.

Top dentistry schools in Asia

Over a dozen Asian schools are featured in the dentistry rankings, including The University of Hong Kong and Japan’s Tokyo Medical and Dental University.

Three particularly successful Asian schools are Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences in India, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in Saudi Arabia and Sichuan University in Mainland China

Top dentistry schools in Australia and New Zealand

Australian programmes feature in the rankings for dentistry as well as a New Zealand university. The University of Adelaide is Australia’s most notable dentistry programme, while New Zealand’s University of Otago scores highly for citations per paper.
