If you’re looking for the top universities in the US and Canada, you may want to take a look at the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings®. In the 2020 edition of the rankings, an impressive four of the top five places are claimed by US universities, with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) ranked first in the world and Stanford University second. Other US universities included within the global top 10 are Harvard University (third), California Institute of Technology (Caltech) (fifth) and the University of Chicago (10th).
Like its neighbor, Canada is also home to many of the world’s top universities, with three entries in the top 50: the University of Toronto (joint 29th), McGill University (joint 35th), and the University of British Columbia (51st).
